Last week we celebrated our annual Arts' Week. The theme for this year was Indian Art and the children enjoyed learning a range of different artistic techniques. Children made beautiful diva lamps from clay, painted watercolours of the Taj Mahal and worked with glue and powder paint to create rangoli patterns as well as a whole host of other exciting activities. The children particularly enjoyed working with Lucy Sugden, a local artist, to produce a large scale artwork inspired by Warli and Gond Indian folk art. This is one of the highlights of our school year and we are already looking forward to next year's event!
