This week we took part in the Woodland Trust’ ‘The Big Climate Fightback’.
The children successfully planted 217 saplings around the school grounds. We taught them that every tree counts and these trees are the ultimate multi-taskers, helping to combat the two environmental emergencies facing our planet: climate change and biodiversity loss. They have learnt that trees absorb carbon, fight flooding, reduce pollution, nurture wildlife and make landscapes more resilient. We have added to our woodland to reverse the wildlife decline and boost this natural habitat.
